Aging and Weakened Teeth

Posted .

The link between aging and weakened teeth is well documented. As you age, the wear and tear on your oral health can become more prominent if you are not aggressively taking steps to keep your smile shining. As you age, keep your smile spectacular with top-notch oral health care habits.

To help keep your teeth as clean as you can, always take the time to upgrade and enhance your oral health care. This may be something as simple as improving the dental cleaning tools you use, trying new techniques for brushing and flossing, and adding additional supplementary cleaning methods to your oral health regimen, such as using mouthwash or chewing sugarless gum after meals.

Be sure to replace your brush every 3-4 months or sooner as necessary, and always use a brush that can reach all areas of your mouth. Soft bristles are also a must. With your dental floss, try sticking to floss that is shred resistant. If your muscles are too weak to brush and floss effectively, switch to alternative cleaning tools such as water flossers and electric toothbrushes.
